MACS received a SCOP grant to complete a community art project. Here is our (in progress) community quilt, created with wax resist and watercolor. The quilt is made entirely out of paper and is delightfully delicate and heavy at the same time. Students worked together to arrange the tile design and reach an agreement about appropriate layout. Finished pictures to come soon!
"The idea was for me to show much more...we are beings of creativity...decide to believe more in the demons than the angels. As we strive forward our biggest fears are that fact...we believe there is more in darkness than light. You are what you believe to be." Brandon Marcus - 12th Grade
"Fears Purpose" Pencil on Paper Senior at MACS - Leslye Lloyd - shares with us her sketchbook assignment where she designed this great MACS themed set of playing cards! She made Mr. Higgins, the principal, the King Card! Love the matching color scheme and the collage/drawing work.
